Additional members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have submitted their party membership certificates to the Sunni Ittehad Council for inclusion in the electoral commission.
According to the PTI Secretariat, a total of 86 independent members have submitted their certificates to the electoral commission for the National Assembly.
This move follows PTI’s announcement of joining the Sunni Ittehad Council for specially designated seats, further strengthening the alliance between the two parties.
According to the PTI Secretariat, nine members from the Sindh Assembly, 105 from the Punjab Assembly, and 85 from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly have submitted their certificates to the electoral commission for inclusion in the Sunni Ittehad Council.
It is worth noting that PTI had announced its affiliation with the Sunni Ittehad Council in the National Assembly, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly just yesterday.
The inclusion of more PTI members in the Sunni Ittehad Council reflects the party’s efforts to forge alliances and broaden its support base. By joining hands with the Sunni Ittehad Council, PTI aims to strengthen its position and influence in various assemblies and advance its political agenda. This development also underscores the significance of coalition-building and strategic partnerships in Pakistan’s political landscape, especially as parties seek to consolidate power and navigate complex governance challenges.
