There is a possibility that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) could be allocated three ministries in the federal cabinet in the initial phase of government formation.
According to sources, MQM may be given the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ports and Shipping, and Overseas Pakistanis’ Ministry in the first phase.
On the other hand, it is reported that discussions regarding MQM’s demands and other issues related to government formation will take place today. Various matters will be discussed during the talks, including MQM’s demands and other relevant issues.
Sources have also indicated that the discussion will focus on the implementation of three constitutional amendments proposed by MQM and the confirmation of a timeframe for their execution. Additionally, discussions on the Governorship in Sindh are expected to take place during the meeting.
The meeting scheduled for today is considered significant by MQM, and there is hope that concrete outcomes will be achieved. The outcome of today’s meeting could potentially shape the future course of action for MQM and its role in the federal government.
It is noteworthy that MQM’s inclusion in the federal cabinet, particularly in key ministries, could have significant implications for the party’s political influence and agenda. As discussions progress and decisions are made, stakeholders will closely monitor developments to assess the implications for governance and political dynamics in the country.
