The similarities between the Samsung F480 Tocco and LG KP500 Cookie are uncanny and you could be forgiven for thinking they are the same phone. To the naked eye you have to look quite hard to see the differences. Both the Samsung Tocco and LG Cookie having glorious touchscreens with the Cookie winning the size contest with a full 3 inch’s. Both handsets have clean lines and a minimalist design, I’m beginning to sound like Kevin McCloud from grand designs! The size of the cookie and tocco is virtually identical, a few millimeters in it but not worth comparing, check out the LG cookie review and Samsung tocco review for the full specification. Considering the two phones look and feel the same we were surprised to see that the tocco has had a few more pies than the cookie as it weighs in at 100 grams compared with the slimline cookie weighing just 87 grams.

Both the tocco and cookie touchsreen look similar but that’s not the case when you power up the handsets and begin using them, the LG cookie is far superior to the Samsung tocco’s and much more responsive. Lg have really put a lot of thought into the cookie’s user interface and it has paid off, the phone is very easy to use and there is a button for every eventuality.

Both LG and Samsung have chosen a black finish to case the tocco and cookie, but if there was a style award the Samsung Tocco would win hands down agsinst the cheap plastic look of the Cookie. Having said this if you looking to buy these phones sim free the Tocco will cost you nearly double at around £330.
